Psyop or Love (Child) Triangle? An Alternative Case of E. Jean Carroll, Donald Trump and…Taylor Swift
A Modest Proposal
A couple of recent events/media narratives (the two are no longer separable) have inspired some re-thinking on my part. First, the Defamation verdict ordering Donald Trump to pay E. Jean Carroll $83 million, essentially for denying her evidence-free claim of sexual assault at an unspecified time in the ‘90s. Second, the shock and awe Taylor Swift Grammy and Superbowl publicity blitzkrieg, and its possible creation and use as a campaign tool by Biden political class backers, i.e., is it a “psyop”. Perhaps there is a link that, if not explaining what’s “really going on”, may shed some interpretive light.
Carroll, whose many lapses of memory and lack of specifics about the alleged Bergdorf Goodman attack should be well known by now, might have a shred of a connection to reality as we used to define it. Imagine that instead of being inspired by a 2010s “Law and Order” episode, she was trying to recast something more ordinary and common, a bad one-night stand in the late ‘80s, something a gal about town such as Carroll has made her reputation (such as it is) writing about. Trump had yet to meet Melania, was known for his active social life and Carroll, as has been noted, seems to have had a strange sexual obsession with him for years. That they might have encountered each other, not in a women’s dressing room in BG but in a typical NYC social setting, “hooked up” as they say these days, and went their separate ways is not a big stretch.
Imagine Carroll, a kind of sexually demented feminist, realizing she was at the end of the reproductive line, finds she’s in a family way and against all expectations decides to go to term. Not able to make the leap to motherhood and child rearing and give up her liberated woman of a certain age lifestyle, she gives the baby (girl) up for adoption – perhaps with financial considerations; you know, a girl’s gotta shop - and picks up where she left off. Her little secret, as it were. Gives a whole new level of depth to “1989”, TS’ “artistic symbolic rebirth” per Wikipedia.
We can imagine the turmoil, the raging genetic-induced hormonal warfare a child of such disparate parentage would go through as she came of age. If she had a stable home life and was talented and lucky, she might channel such drives into “creative” expression. A star is born, indeed.
Now, the political drama of the child turned super star turned potential political WMD becomes a family drama as well. Will she back the side of her mother, who has weaponized the star’s origin story into a partisan attack on her father? Can she possibly back away from the lures and pressures of her media and financial backers and refuse to sell herself for a corrupt regime? Will her pre-”1989” country/all American persona (one might even say proto-MAGA) resurface and put her on a new course?
Will the psyop turn into a Lifetime Movie op? Stay tuned…
